Scouting the AAC - Tulsa

Tulsa has had just a single player drafted over the past ten years -- Charles Clay. The way our board stacks up, the program may not have a player drafted for another two years.

Redshirt sophomore Waahid Muhammad really stood out to me on the Tulsa film. He’s large and athletic and moves well around the field. Muhammad blocks with solid fundamentals and is very effective on the second level or blocking in motion. I am really impressed by his upside.

If there is a senior who could sneak into the late rounds, it would be safety McKinley Whitfield

He’s a nice-sized defensive back who aggressively defends the run and shows good awareness in coverage. Whitfield has average playing speed and shows a lot of stiffness in his game, which is why we grade him as a free-agent prospect.
